For so many years umbilical blood used to be discarded because of ignorance of its significance.  When it was discovered that cord blood can provide a life saving treatment, all the researchers all around the world started collecting the baby cord. Recently, the collection process was carried out in many major hospitals of the Australia.

Doctors out there believe that cord blood cells represent a perfect kind of recycling. It is basically giving one life today and saving tomorrow for the sake of secure and safe future. The community members organize annual day that is called as ‘coin for cord day’ every year. The motive of the function is to raise funds ultimately. The stall of the club would be on 29th of April and day would be on 9th May. The program is running for the last nine years. Through this the members have been successful to collect about one and five million dollars and therefore helping about 24 researching institutes of Australia till now. The research that is at present and will be funded by the members has some defined stem of objectives.

These are improved cord blood collection, increased transplant success rate and testing the cells viability for the transplant. So, it is a request to give support for this program and similarly many others.
